Review of the Seiko

This is the Seiko Gents Black Dial Stainless Steel watch. This is a superb watch that has style, elegance and classiness. Like the name says, this is a true gentleman's watch. Used for being casual and remaining classy or dressing up, this watch is an all around watch. Made out of stainless steel, it holds up against some serious power. I think the max would be hitting it with a hammer. If you hit anything with a hammer it's bound to break but at the same time this is an extremely sturdy utility. Because I have very small wrists compared to most people, I had to get two links removed from either side. This was not a problem for me as I went to my local Von Bargen's, of which is a trusted dealer of fine jewelry, and got them removed for five dollars. Within an hour later I was up and ready to take my watch everywhere I went. Now this particular model does have water resistance, 0 bar. "What do you mean by bars?" you may ask. Well the bars are the resistance to water. 0 bar means that the watch will withstand splashing and the such but nothing too serious. As the bars go up in increments of 5, so does the resistance. 20 bar is the highest bar that Seiko offered for this particular model of watch. I went with the lower bar as it was signifigantly lower in price. Although it is a particularly expensive watch I'm not that rich. Anywho, I got this quality watch for about 70 dollars on Amazon, on sale I might add from the previous 180 dollars it would have cost me. It's a good, sturdy, elegant, and classy watch for a touch more than other watches. It's going to last you a long time. Trust me.

Being Behind Sucks

Updating is a key element when one desires to blog. I do not desire to blog. You can tell me all you want about how I'll be leaving my footprint in society. Society is just like the world, it's just going to wash away eventually. No need to preserve it. Sure we could all learn from a blog but the blogs that people actually want to read are already being read. By a lot of people I might add. The world is not a place that especially embraces ordinary people and commits them to memory. People like Abraham Lincoln and George Washington. Edgar Allen Poe and Robert Frost. These are people who did something they were good at, continued it, and because successful. Now these are people that when you mention them you automatically know who they are. Like myself for example. Whenever I hear Abraham Lincoln I think about his face and that luscious beard of his and how he changed the face of America. George Washington. Well he's more easy than Lincoln. But all of these other people who society automatically comes to have earned their spot in the history books. Someone who creates something. Someone who invents new algorithms. These are people who our future generations will be learning about. So. I don't really care whether or not my great-grandson's best friend was reading about me in some giant book that anyone in that case is guaranteed not to care about. But that's alright. Good things come to those who wait. I suppose.

On that note it's time for a deviation in the plot and start a whole new trend. Good things to come to those who wait. Good things do not happen to those who wait merely because they wait. Good things come to people who take the initiative to start an objective and complete it. Good things happen to those who wait. If some fat slob stays at home on his La-z-boy Leather Chair with a beer in one hand and potato chips in the other all in his mother's basement and he just sits around all day watching Sports Center, there is a serious problem here. If he just sits here, not only does he not get sunlight to tan the exposed layers of fat, but he remains fat due to the fact of his inability to muster the courage or will-power. Mind you that he will not get a date. One must take action. The amount of effort one puts into an objective will more-often-than-not equal the outcome. The thing is however, if one is to flirt and make fancy to all of the women around him or her, he or she will look like a (man)whore. One might be you. This is more-often-than-not my situation as I like to spread myself around and make note of the attractive women. I then go back and selectively filter out these options. It sounds like coffee but it's true. If a woman is into putting me into a living hell then there is no way to be compatible with her. This is, by what I understand, a pretty universal thing. But to go back on track, taking initiative is what one must do to take grasp of what they desire.

Poems for a Taste

I took it

Life is a street full of angry people
People who bear the sorrows of the world
The only way to not join these people is to take a side road
The road that leads to peace, love, and happiness
There's just a problem
Who will stop me
And tell me it's not the right path
Who will carry me
If I fall off the path and get back up

10 o'clock Run

Bladder
Bladder
Go away
Let me pee another day
It's 10 o'clock and I'm half asleep
Bladder
Bladder
Go away

See it

The world is not always black and white
There are aspects
Vivid and alive
That keeps the world spinning
The world is different
Trust me
If seen through the right eye

Some say when it rains it pours.

Nothing in the world is really worth talking about since I've pretty much exhausted all of my options and I'm too mentally tired to bother with expressing my disgust of people. This whole "Full Value" idea really isn't being respected and I think the world should respect the fact that people need sincerity, not just a word to get over a feeling. When someone is down in the dumps and has had a really shitty day what can one do to get that person over it? There's a variety of things but when someone is in a mood there's rarely anything anyone can do to get over it. Even when someone tries to get a friend out of the dumps they end up getting the other person in an even worse mood than usual. I'm a pacifist and I can't stand when people are in bad moods. I generally try getting people in a better mood but fail. Respecting people's solemnity when angry is perfectly accetable, I've come to realize. If someone looks not friendly, guess what they generally aren't when they were just dumped or something along those lines.

Photography is doing well, I suppose. If you haven't already, you should either send me a friend request at my Facebook. As of week 4, it's only rained one day. I need to start back up with the photography because I'm slowly burning out and it sucks. I'm gonna start taking lots and lots of photos with the new camera. I'll be definitely hitting back into photography full speed now! It's a great hobby that I love and I'd hate it if I just stopped doing it.

What else is cool? OH! I know exactly. Longboarding. Longboarding is an amazing sport/transportation method. Mine is a Gordon and Smith tiki board. It's almost impossible to find anywhere online and I managed to get mine before it was out of stock, mine was the last one. At about 150 dollars it's an amazing board. With kryptonic wheels which were about 20 extra dollars it's a definite good-buy. Getting from Point A to Point B is fast and effective. Although the wheels aren't exactly butterfly wheels, which are the best wheels for urban terrain such as streets and sidewalks while providing optimal support, they still offer speed and effective-ness. Wheels need to be lubed up soon because I'm not really going anywhere much often and it's just needed at this point. I'm going to head to the local skate and surf shop on Main Street to get that service, which is actually free. It's an amazing board however. The actual deck is made of 5 layers of bamboo and 4 of maple. With a massive bend in the deck it provides optimal speed because of some physics and sciences the wheels will go farther. Don't ask me, they just do.

So that's it for now. Hope you all stay safe and the such as it's time for M&M and an awesomely active activity. Who else wants to come go with me? I'm going to be riding in style. :]

PEACE!

Update 6.1

Love is definitely one of the more indescribable lyrics that more than often songs incorporate. What is love anyway? Love is a great question that not many people know the answer to no matter how hard they try to find it. It's an indescribable attribute that only the best of people can harbor with no inner conflict with whom they love.

Anyway, not the point of today's blog. Just a little philosophy that I like to play around with. As for the real matter, what's going on this week? As of the thirteenth of July, excursions are going on. For the few readers that aren't part of the KSC Upward Bound program, excursions are for the children who want to go somewhere away. As for myself I am going to Boston, Massachusetts. Should be a lot of fun as a matter of fact. The only problem that I see with going to Boston is the fact that I'm not going to play Laser Tag like I really wanted to do. It's not that big of a deal but at the same time it's something that I can bitch about pertaining to the fact that I'm doing so much more. There's not a lot of expensive stuff as for the budget does count a lot for the cost of gas and partially the fact that it's going to be such a long trek. It's, again, not going to be that big of a deal. Other stuff we're doing? Well let me think...I can't really think of anything off of the top of my head.

What else is good? Let me think, it's a Monday so my mind isn't really operating at 100%. M&M (Movement and More) is pretty soon. That's pretty cool. Another thing, I have a nice special lady in mind who I really want to make an impression on. My idea of an ideal date can't be had here but I'll try my darndest. Names are to not be disclosed. Me being a hopeless romantic and all I thought I would try out something with a little zing to it. What I've done is I've recruited the help of Clark photography to print out some of my photographs. The thing is that it's going to have one of my poems on the back, which should be pretty cool, with a flower of the front I would imagine it to be a really good way to win over her heart. Why not try? It's not like I'm going to see this girl again so why not? I think this would be a good time to wish me luck. :P

Being In the Study Lounge

Me. In Upward Bound. In the dorms. In a study lounge. The only thing in hear is the odour of various pits, smell of fresh rain, and slight breeze. Well not really because I hear the constant clack of my computer as I continue to type. It's exhilirating. I have two of the most amazing people I've met thus far and I can't begin to explain how good I feel as my birthday is tomorrow. 15 at long, long last. So anyway. What is there to talk about? Maybe I could talk about how my day was decent but not too spectacular but good none-the-less. Or maybe how M&M [Movement and More] is one of the most ridiculous parts of my day. I mean really, mandatory dance party that all of the guys decide to stand there and look around at? No. Sorry, but it's redonkulous.
Music of the week, on a lighter note, is Weezer and Franz Ferdinand. God what a trip it is to listen to some of their songs. Even now I'm listening to 'Turn it On' by FF. Franz Ferdinand has a certain pizazz that just sparks. They have a really good alternative rock style while still incorporation some excellent values of Duran Duran and Echo and the Bunnymen that a lot of people thought amazing. I mean you can't really go wrong with the fact that they took some of the best musical elements of the world's music to make it into a hybrid while still spicing it up with modern selections. Weezer on the other hand is a hybrid mix of indie rock and alternative rock. They have a large selection of music which holds hidden gems like 'Hash Pipe' or 'Say It Ain't So' of which never made the number one but at the smae time are enjoyable to most fan's or even not fan's ears. Did I ever mention that I'm a fan of Duran Duran and Echo?

Computer Journals of the 21st Century

What is a computer journal? It's called a blog and by golly it's one of the most beautiful technological advances since the beginning of time, after the internet of course. The world around is ever changing and you might have stumbled upon here by chance. This blog. Well it's not going to be one of the best blogs in the world, if it ended up being so then I would probably be spending the twenty dollars a year it takes for me to have my own domain. Information? Well I can supply that. I mean what should a blog be about? Philosophies are for the cross-dressers who have nothing better to do than bag on the newest celebrities or the old classics. It's terrible. Then there could be video game blogs. It really wouldn't be too hard to find one and it would take so much to make a good video game blog that anyone cares about. 3,000 blog hits a month is something but f you're only getting the 100's then you have to try so much harder. Let's just think about it this way. What if you were sitting down in front of a computer for ''x'' amount of minutes while you uselessly ranted about the most useless of things. Who cars if Brittney Spear's cooch was showing, or Lindsay Lohan's for that matter. Also, if I was looking for someone to tell me about whether or not I should buy a video game I would go to the big names of the industry like IGN or something like that. Blogs should be about what you feel, how you look at the world, how you think it should be because the number one spot is already taken in general areas. Take the initiative. Be bigger, better, and stronger than anyone else. You know, this could go out to anyone. Think about your own blog. Think about your life.
